You have a good start on your art, but I have a couple of presentation suggestions: There is really no need to have an image that is over 900X900 pixels no matter how wonderfully detailed or fantastic it might be. Anything larger just doesn't lend itself to internet presentation (though it does do well for prints and such) and it's frustrating to have to scroll around to view an image, let alone those of us still on dial-up connections (irreguardless, it's nice to have things load quickly even on high-speed). Crop away unnessecary things that detract from the main image, like the wall/background that is outside of the picture plane that you were working on. Even the most basic photo/image editing program should allow you to crop in. Your photos appear fairly sharp and have a good range of color, but I would suggest shooting with a tripod or monopod (you can make one with an eyescrew and chain or rope) so that your image is stableized and you don't have to worry about shaky hands making your image blurry.

Just these few small things on presentation will really help you with your images. I know you saw my pastel piece "Sunrise," that was also taken with a camera rather than scanned (19X25" paper does not fit on a scanner well at all...)and all I really had to do with it was to crop out he background and resize the image.
